Chopin Chemists began as a foresight for today’s world. A necessity, emerging in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. Lilian Wieckowski, RPH, founder and resident pharmacist, saw the importance of a neighborhood pharmacy influenced by her philosophy. Chopin Chemists was founded in August 1995 incorporating a pharmacy circa 1921. Chopin Chemists has been green for more than twelve years and continues to flourish with the insurgence of the organic and green movement. A second Chopin Chemists location expanded into the up-and-coming neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn New York in December 23, 2003.
Born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Lilian Wieckowski continues her passion for health by contributing to her neighborhood. Inspired from a family with a background in medicine - her Mother, a pediatrician and her Sister a pharmacist - she found her path in Pharmacology and graduated from St. John’s University in 1988. Lilian’s evolving goal is communicating the understanding of holistic wellness and health education through nutrition, herbal supplements, vitamins, organic skincare lines and lifestyle products are all part of healthy living.
Lilian’s other inspiration comes from the pharmacy’s namesake, Frederic Chopin, regarded as one of the most famous, influential and prolific composers of the romantic period. She believes music is healing for the soul, mind and body.
Greenpoint is the most unique and oldest established pharmacies in Brooklyn. The pharmacy has a large number of loyal customers in this once predominantly Polish community. Williamsburg is a quickly developing and popular area, and Chopin Chemists has undoubtedly added and spurred its growth. Lilian a Brooklyn native is a firm believer in supporting the development of the community and neighboring areas.

Lilian’s research, studies and beliefs have lead her to develop a Chopin Chemists private label of herbal droplets/liquid botanicaps therefore bridging old and new world medicine.
